History
Anubis is the Jackal headed "God of Death" and "Rebirth" along with funerals mummification and the afterlife He was a member of the Heliopolitan race of gods who lived in the extradimensional realm of Celestial Heliopolis adjacent to Earth and was worshipped by the people of Ancient Egypt. As the god of death his main roles was to usher souls into the afterlife. He attended the weighing scale, in which it was determined whether a soul would be allowed to enter the realm of the dead Duat. Anubis was born from the union of Osiris with his younger brother Seth's wife Nephthys. This infidelity caused Seth to become vengeful toward his older brother Osiris.
