History
Darkseid was the tyrannical leader of the fortress mecha planet Apokolips. Utilizing the Anti-Life Engine and fragments of the Source Wall, Darkseid devoured countless planets and civilizations including Korugar, Warworld and New Genesis. At the end of WWII, Darkseid dispatched a single Parademon to assess the strength of the Earth's defenders. Although the Parademon was lost, Darkseid was not impressed by the resistance put up by the Justice Society and set Earth for conquest at a future date as it set posed no threat at that time. Sixty years later Darkseid arrived in Kryptonian space, bypassing the Kryptonian defenses with the help of an unnamed traitor, and used the Anti-Life Engine to devour the planet despite the resistance provided by Barda, Orion and the House of El. read more
