Schismic Birth As the war between New Genesis and Apokolips continued to intensify the leader of the peaceful New Gods, a lonesome individual traveled towards the Source Wall coming to a shard of the original Wall; desperate for a solution to the moral dilemma of Metron's peace treaty proposal. When it decreed he would go through with the treaty regardless of his moral stance and he refused however, an unseen force struck him down and an effigy of raw energy began to form,standing over him. This entity spoke softly to the now dormant New God who would come to be known (and hate himself for it) as Highfather saying he would bare the heartache and memory of their lost humanity and beloved wife for both of them. read more
