Billy Russo was the son to a meth addict. He was abandoned by his birth mother, Carla, outside a fire station in Albany. Russo lived throughout various foster homes until he was brought into the Ray of Hope group home. During his time at the Ray of Hope, he became a victim of an attempted child molestation when Arthur Walsh attempted to attack him. Russo tried to defend himself by striking the attacker with a stickball bat, but he still suffered from an arm injury. Many years later, Russo joined the United States Marine Corps and becoming a fierce soldier. During his time at the Corps, he met and became close friends with Frank Castle. They fought together through battles until Frank decided to leave the army after a questionable mission. read more
