Ryan Fletcher's History

Ryan Fletcher was a CIA Agent and analyst who was framed for the assassination of a Chilean Presidential candidate. He had been chasing leads to confirm that a sanctioned black-ops unit of the government was committing these crimes and was framed by Division. Chilean rebels kidnapped him and attempted to force a "confession" out of him before he was rescued by Nikita and Owen Elliot. When the existence of Division is revealed to him, he becomes Nikita's ally, promising to help find the group of officials who sanctioned Division. He then helps Nikita and Owen escape from a CIA plane en route to the United States.

Ryan had a brother who served in the military and got killed by private military contractors to cover up for an illegal mine. His death was covered up. As a result Ryan dedicated himself to bringing down people who abused their power to hide the truth. To reveal the truth he was willing to sacrifice his career and even risk his own life. After The Shop and Amanda had seemingly been defeated, Ryan was the only one that noticed that this was a deception. His dedication forced Amanda to kidnap him. When Ryan learned that Amanda wanted to manipulate his mind, he chose death over living a life of lies. With his final words, Ryan managed to inform Nikita about Amanda and her plans to take over The Shop. This sacrifice ultimately led to Nikita taking down The Shop and Amanda permanently.
