Striker Eureka's History

Striker Eureka was the first and only Mark 5 Jaeger ever built, launching on November 2, 2019. Over its career it managed to kill at least 9 kaiju before the anti-Kaiju wall was completed. The day after Eureka was decommisioned, Mutavore attacked Sydney by breaching said wall. Thankfully for the citizens of Sydney, Striker Eureka was still in the area and subsequently killed the kaiju.

Afterwards, Striker was relocated to the Hong Kong Shhatterdome where it would be deployed against Leatherback and Otachi. Striker would ultimately sit out the fight after Leatherback's EMP disabled the mech. The pilots, Herc and Chuck Hansen, then leave the conn-pod and distract Leatherback with flares to the eyes before being saved by Gipsy Danger.

After undergoing additional repairs, Striker is deployed to attack the breach with a nuclear payload. Striker Pentecost would take Chuck's position in the jaeger, the latter having been injured in the previous fight. Upon arriving at the breach, Striker and Gipsy were assailed by Scunner, Raiju and Slattern (the first category 5 kaiju). After an intense battle, Striker was rendered too damaged to finish the mission and detonated its payload to give Gipsy time to enter the breach. This detonation would destroy Striker and kill Scunner while also severely injuring Slattern.
