History
The Darkness is the first of eight Eldritch Terrors to arrive in Greendale, manifesting as a horde of spectral miners from within the Greendale Mines, whose sole objective was to rid the world of light. The eldritch dark comes from the outer reaches of the cosmos and is said to be unkillable. It is characterized by an eerie omnipresence and the ability to feast on one’s deepest fears, regrets, and weaknesses, and aims to plunge the world into a crushing, consuming, absolute darkness. “ It was no accident, neither a ghost.
