Heimdall (GoW) think Heimdall wins high diff. Reasoning? Because he's already roughly on par with Thor without his foresight ability. They're half-brothers. Roughly equals. Thor is half Jotun, Heimdall full Aesir. Since the Aesir beat the Jotun, I'd downright say Heimdall has the superior genes. Thor is stronger and hits harder for sure, but Heimdall is far smarter, more technical, faster, more versatile, and more precise.

Mjolnir is the superior weapon, but not by much. Hofund is an extremely powerful sword, and it was specifically sanctioned by Odin to enhance Heimdall's mastery of realm shifting. The Sword is so powerful that Kratos can use it to realm shift even without knowing anything about realm shifting.

I think if the two were to fight without Heimdall's foresight, Heimdall already wins 45/55. But with it? He wins every time. Just a matter of when. People who think he's just a one trick pony really need to read his journal entry and digital artbook, as well as listen to Mimir talking about him. Out of all the Gods he adviced against fighting, it wasn't Baldur, or Thor, or even Odin. The literal only God both Mimir and Freya told Kratos not to fight, was Heimdall. Brok and Sindri did the same. He could not win without Draupnir, which means Thor couldn't either.

And even with Draupnir, Heimdall impressed me more than Thor. He straight up attacked and mocked both Kratos and Freya simultaneously without a care. The realm shifting is extremely OP. He could legit just slow down time and stab Thor anywhere he wanted any time he wanted, erasing him with the Bifrost from inside the way Odin did. Should Thor somehow manage to land a hit, he remains extremely durable. He was able to block and push away Kratos multiple times, (funny enough, Thor himself failed to do so twice in the final fight), so it'd take far more than a few hits for Thor to put him away. Even should Thor manage to somehow blow a limb off, the fight would only become more difficult as he can literally regenerate more powerful ones.

I just don't see Thor winning this. It's dead even when all is equal. Thor's power and strength and resilience against Heimdall's speed, skill, versatility, realm shifting and precision. So adding Heimdall's foresight to that kinda just makes it a stomp. The only reason I call it high diff is because Thor remains extremely tough and dangerous, so Heimdall would need to bring his A game not to get hit. But he absolutely could and would do that. It wouldn't be high diff to win. It'd be high diff not to get hit.

If you read the digital artbook of him, he's described as Odin's greatest warrior. A supremely skilled swordsman who sees all at all times. That's why Odin gave him the Gjallarhorn. Heimdall was the best insurance it would sound to announce Ragnarok. Mimir also said he's a veteran of at least 1000 battles against the Jotun during which he never even got tagged once. Imagine what a feat that is. Thor couldn't even beat Faye. And lastly, Bruno Velasquez confirmed that Heimdall wasn't scared of Thor, but disgusted because he saw what Thor had planned for him. Hence, "You are a sick man."

Heimdall isn't scared of anyone. Him getting his arm blown off and going ham even harder instead of quitting should be all the proof we need of that. He knows he can beat Thor.

I'm genuinely curious how anyone can think Thor wins this? We all agree Kratos is on par with, if not stronger and especially faster and a more intelligent fighter than Thor, right? Okay. Try fighting Heimdall without using Draupnir. You'll literally never hit him. Use all the AOE's in the game like Breath of Thamur. You'll still not hit him. Thor has no means of hitting Heimdall.
