However, he was a knife using expert and knife tossing expert. Jesse was super fast and precise. You can imagine how the Wild West shooters could shoot; this was Jesse. Plus, he/they were soldiers; Jesse was responsible for defeating a galling gun(the machine gun of the late 19th century).

*I was surprised that Jesse actually used .45 caliber pistols(that's a big bullet by today's standards). He used 2 of them...
