Akash'bhuta's History

As long as there has been a natural world, there has been Akash'bhuta. The spirit of chaos and destruction in nature, some ancient cultures revered her as a goddess, calling her "Mother Nature", but they were all destroyed by their own deity during their worship.

She can manifest her physical form in any size, and take on the properties of any natural element, often appearing as a mountain among mountains, or as a vast hill of earth in a field. However, as much as she seems a natural creature, her very existence is destruction. She feeds off of ending life, thriving by bringing chaos and discord to places of order and harmony.

In the earliest records of civilization, there has always been mention of a champion of order who fights against the destructive ways of Akash'bhuta. However, Akash'bhuta seems to always persevere, and champions of order able to face down such a destructive force are few and far between…

Despite originally thought to have been originally from Earth, Akash's true origins were much more complicated Long Ago the Nexus of the Void was under attack. Alien shadow parasites sought to drain its power for their own use. It fled to a primordial Earth, seeking a place where it could defend itself. On a young and undeveloped earth, the Nexus spun off portions of the Void in order to create defenders against theses alien attackers. They fused with portions of the land, becoming elemental spirits that would defend the Nexus.

Once again, after millions of years, the alien parasites discovered the Nexus. They attacked, and even with its preparations, the elemental void spirits were not enough. Until one of them discovered that it could absorb other defenders, and become stronger. This was the first form of Akash'Bhuta. The Void spirit absorbed all the other defenders, becoming even stronger than the attackers. Thus began the Hundred Million Year War. For a hundred million years, this early form of Akash'Bhuta battled the enemies of the Nexus until it finally managed to defeat them.

Now, its enemies defeated, the Nexus calls out for this Void spirit to return to it. With a taste of power and a sense of self, the spirit refuses to give up this newfound awareness. It still wished to defend the Nexus, but it did not want to return. It buried the Nexus deep within the world, and went about its desires to protect the Nexus. It nurtured the Dinosaurs, until an asteroid destroyed them save a few Akash was able to protect on the small island that would become Insula Primalis. The Spirit continued to experiment, eventually nurturing a more adaptable species for the planet: Humans.
