Brother Blood (Power of the Titans)

Brother Blood's History

Brother Blood was a religious zealot who established the Church of Blood in honor of himself. Convinced that he was destined to rule over mankind, he saw the numerous super-powered heroes of the world such as the Justice League as false idols and obstacles to his own divinity.

In order to achieve the godlike power he believed he deserved, Blood hired Slade Wilson, Deathstroke, to kidnap the young heroes known as the Teen Titans, who possessed a wide range of uncanny powers he wished to possess. To achieve this, Deathstroke recruited a young metahuman called Tara Markov and had her infiltrate the Titans. For a year, Terra studied the Titans' individual habits and weaknesses, relaying what she had learned to Deathstroke who would use the information to target each Titan at their most vulnerable.

Deathstroke succeeded in capturing the Titans and delivering them to Blood, even throwing in Terra when Blood complained that Slade hadn't captured Nightwing. Blood had the Titans hooked up to a machine that assimilated their powers and transferred them to Blood, transforming him into a metahuman monster capable of destroying the Justice League.

Brother Blood's ritual was interrupted by Nightwing, who had arrived to rescue his friends. While the Titans had survived the machine's process, Blood now possessed all their powers and fought against them. Though he possessed all of their powers, Blood was not used to wielding such abilities and was still outnumbered. The Titans eventually managed to overwhelm Blood and Raven was able to strip him of his powers, rendering him weak and helpless. Blood was then shot dead by his subordinate Mother Mayhem to ensure that he wouldn't be sent to prison.
