Elder Thing's powers and abilities

Biology �?? Elder Things are triphibious plant-like animals from a distant star. Their bodies feature radial symmetry and a five-lobbed brain. Their blood is highly putrid and can drive canines and other animals into a fury. Their outer skin is tough enough to resist normal surgical procedures, but can be breached without much effort. Their eyes are more advanced than a humans and can see perfectly in pitch darkness. Each of the five segments of their bodies possess strong, elasctic tentacles. They have no defined life span, only dying due to outward causes.

Flight �?? Elder Things possess five membrane like wings that they can use to fly in atmosphere or in space. They must enter a hibernation-like state to travel extreme distances, as they are incapable of FTL travel.

Science �?? Elder Things possess extremely sophisticated scientific acumen, although they are most talented with biological manipulation. This is especially evident in their cultivation of life on Earth and of the creation of the highly adaptable Shuggoths. Control of these creations was primarily facilitated by some kind of hypnotic device or adaptation.

Elder Thing's weaknesses

Mortality �?? Although very resilient compared to most creatures, The Elder Things have found themselves coming up short whenever they confront another Mythos species or at best gaining a Pyrrhic victory. Their intellect, while impressive to humans, is nothing special on a grander scale and they have found themselves preyed upon by the Yithians.
