Frankenstein's History

Frankenstein's Monster, usually just Frankenstein or Frank for short, is an agent of S.H.A.D.E..

New 52

Origin

Frankenstein's monster was created by Doctor Frankenstein using stolen body parts and the blood of the alien king, Mr. Melmoth. He was kept for months and tortured in the lab but was eventually freed by Doctor Frankenstein's wife. He then proceeded to get revenge and kill all the guards in the mansion and Doctor Frankenstein himself. He then took one of their coats and has worn it ever since then.

World War II

Frankenstein was a S.H.A.D.E. agent in World War II too. As well as the Bride, which worked under Father Time. After Frankenstein defended London from the Nazis in 1941 the pair was sent to Japan to extract Robert Crane who was imprisoned by the Japanese and forced to make J.A.K.E., an attack robot. After the Bride extracted Robert he took control of J.A.K.E. who was attacking Frankenstein and J.A.K.E. was taken to Father Time after he convinced Frankenstein that he isn't under Japanese control anymore. J.A.K.E. revealed that the main plan was to start a operation code-named "Matalla" in New York City at noon tomorrow. Matalla is a monster that was released in New York but Frankenstein and J.A.K.E. have slain it.

Korean War

In Korea in 1951 the duo continued with Frankenstein and J.A.K.E. as they were fighting by S.H.A.D.E. directions in the Korean War.

Vietnam War

It was mentioned that Frankenstein fought under S.H.A.D.E. directions in the Vietnam War too.

Modern Day

In the current day, Frankenstein was an agent of S.H.A.D.E. under the command of Father Time (who was in a schoolgirl's body), but he was now the leader of a new S.H.A.D.E.Net project, the Creature Commandos. Furthermore, Frankenstein had been an active S.H.A.D.E. agent since World War II, and having at least participated in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The relationship between Frankenstein and the Bride also revealed that they were a loving couple, until an attempt to creating a son through S.H.A.D.E. technology; in which their son, who was very unstable and violent, attacked its mother and forcing Frankenstein to kill his offspring.

Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. Vs. O.M.A.C.

Checkmate was unsuccessful with taking O.M.A.C. down and they called in S.H.A.D.E. to help. S.H.A.D.E. sent in their top agent, Frankenstein. Frankenstein knew nothing about the rogue metahuman in Metropolis. When he landed on Kevin Kho, he turned into O.M.A.C. and the fight began. After a short fight Brother Eye, O.M.A.C.'s leader started hacking into S.H.A.D.E. network. As Frankenstein was closing in on killing O.M.A.C. he teleported out and ripped off Frankenstein's arm in the process.

Joining Justice League Dark

After House of Mystery crashed down with Justice League Dark, John Constantine called Frankenstein to pick them up. John also invited Frankenstein to join Justice League Dark to which he accepted after he said that his relationship with S.H.A.D.E. had been rough. He stayed with the Justice League Dark until it disbanded at the end of The New 52.

Justice League United

Adam Strange, Animal Man, Equinox, Alanna Strange and Stargirl recruited Batgirl, Steel, Robotman and Vandal Savage to solve the time displaced Arracourt, France. The city was stuck in World War II and World War I while being in the modern day, with the soldiers inside reliving the same day over and over again once the night falls. Justice League United came to solve the problem while seeing World War II Vandal Savage, Easy Company and Creature Commandos with Frankenstein as the field leader. Later in the story O.M.A.C. came too once he had gone through the portal in Suicide Squad. Justice League United, Easy Company, Creature Commandos, and O.M.A.C. teamed up to push the hill against the Germans and after that the timeline was fixed.

Rebirth

Going into the Dark Multiverse

After Manhattan Guardian is abducted by Gloriana Tenebrae and taken to the Dark Multiverse. Frankenstein, Zatanna, Shining Knight, Klarion, Mister Miracle and Bulleteer in the form of Seven Soldiers of Victory find Sideways and ask him to help them open a portal to the Dark Multiverse and to aid in finding Manhattan Guardian.

Gotham City Monsters

Frankenstein forms a team of I, Vampire, Killer Croc, Lady Clay, Orca and Red Phantom to defeat Mr. Melmoth as he wants to take over the multiverse.
