Guardian Xayah's History

Guardian Xayah comes from the Star Guardian parallel universe. The story follows the adventures of a group of high school students who choose to become cosmic protectors burdened with the power of living super novas and must battle cosmic enemies threatening the universe. However, they consequently learn of the anguish and perils associated with their newfound roles.

Abandoned by her captain and teammates, Xayah spent years in darkness. She sought revenge—yet deep down, she only wanted an explanation, an answer as to why Ahri left Rakan and her to die. Xayah pursued her former friends across the galaxy until, during the Battle of the Twilight Star, Rakan sacrificed his own light to purge the darkness in Xayah's soul. Now a Star Guardian once more, Xayah searched the night skies for her love. She would eventually aid her beloved in his return to the light, although Rakan would sacrifice his life in the battle against the forces of darkness. Xayah's love is her guiding force (though she'd never admit to something so horribly sentimental) and she now struggles with the feelings that have resulted from this terrible loss.

Sentimentality was never Xayah’s strong suit. She prefers to speak with actions rather than words. If Saki could speak—in a language understood by anyone other than the Star Guardians—it would probably call most of the Star Nerds “a bunch of misty-eyed babies” before flying up to Xayah’s shoulder for a wing-bump. A great diss deserves a celebration.
