Hera

Blood Of Zeus

Hera's History

Daughter of the Titan King Kronos, Hera was consumed by her father as an infant in his bid to prevent an heir from overthrowing him. Freed by her brother, Zeus, Hera fought alongside him and her other siblings in the war between the Gods and the Titans, displaying her considerable power and prowess.

Following the war, she endorsed Zeus as King of the Gods, believing him the best candidate for the job. Ultimately, she married him. To her great despair, however, he grew increasingly prone to frivolity and (in a direct slight to her role as Goddess of Marriage) engage in countless affairs, spanning much of the pantheon in that manner. Hera has become increasingly agigitated at the humiliation her husband brings her, developing a vengeful streak.

Claiming, likely with cause, to be responsible for leading on Olympus while Zeus pursues his desires, Hera's position as Queen of the Gods has grown in relevancy and influence, with a faction of the Olympians willing to follow her even into civil war with the other Gods. Hera is among the most powerful of the Gods, and even the likes of Poseidon hold openly that she should not be crossed.
