Klein Moretti's History
His Original Life
He was originally a man named Zhou Mingrui from Earth, living in Southwest China in the current era. He seem to be the only son of the family. His mother in her late forties with ear-length short-hair. She having a chronic disease, still enjoyed busying herself. His father always spoke with a loud voice and silver strands in his black hair. At one point, he harbored feelings for someone, leading him to study Tarot Cards in an attempt to impress them,though his attempts at confession ended in failure. One day he visited his hometown and bought a thread-bound book titled ‘Quintessential Divination and Arcane Arts of the Qin and Han Dynasty’ at an old bookstore. After experiencing a month of bad luck, he performed a Luck Enhancement Ritual recorded at the beginning of the book, which resulted in him transmigrating in the middle of the night. He was a ‘qualified keyboard politician, keyboard historian, keyboard economist, keyboard biologist, and keyboard folklorist’, deeming himself to be ‘knowing something of everything’ but mocked by a close friend as ‘only knowing a little of everything’.
The Original Klein Moretti
The original Klein was a citizen of Tingen City, in Loen Kingdom. At the start of the novel, he had just graduated from the Department of History at Khoy University. His father was a sergeant of the Royal Army who died in a colonial conflict with the Southern Continent, and his mother was a devotee of the Evernight Goddess who passed away the year he passed the entrance exam to Khoy University. He also had an elder brother, Benson Moretti, and a younger sister, Melissa Moretti. He died from a mysterious suicide, shooting himself in the temple with a revolver under the crimson moon, after writing ‘Everyone will die, including me.’ in his notebook. The protagonist, Zhou Mingrui, who transmigrated from modern China after performing a luck enhancement ritual recorded in an ancient book titled ‘Quintessential Divination and Arcane Arts of the Qin and Han Dynasty’, fused with his remnants and has since been living as him.
Lord of Mysteries
As Klein Moretti, he joined the Nighthawks as a civilian staff and shortly after became a Sequence 9 Beyonder of the Fool Pathway, because Roselle Gustav mentioned in one of his diary entries his regret over not choosing the Error, Door, or Fool Pathway.
He discovered that the ritual that resulted in his transmigration led him to a space of gray fog. He found that he could pull certain people onto this space. After his first attempt at pulling Audrey Hall and Alger Wilson onto the gray fog, the Tarot Club was founded for exchanging items and information. While in the Nighthawks, he encountered many coincidences all in a short span of time. Along the way, he advanced to Clown. Despite getting some idea that these coincidences were unnatural, it was too late for him when Ince Zangwill, the mastermind behind all the coincidences, caused the True Creator's spawn to target Klein. He was ultimately killed along with Dunn Smith by Ince and the True Creator's spawn but mysteriously returned to life. Afterwards, he moved to Backlund in a bid to get stronger and further improve his Sequence.
Volume 2: Faceless
After moving to Backlund, he became a detective and changed his identity to Sherlock Moriarty, in order to avoid being found by the Nighthawks. Shortly after, he was involved in a conspiracy involving Intis and Ambassador Bakerland, who sent Rosago, a Marionettist, to assassinate him. With the help of Sharron, a Sequence 5: Wraith, he managed to defeat Rosago and gain the potion formulas through Faceless of the Fool Pathway. Afterwards, he successfully achieved part 1 of his revenge plan by killing Lanevus while also stopping the descent of the True Creator through him. However, this alerted the authorities to the presence of some mysterious Tarot master. Klein advanced to Magician not long after. Then he stole the Black Emperor Card of Blasphemy that enabled him to use the Black Emperor's power with the help of the gray fog. He then spent some time acting as a magician before advancing to Faceless near the end of the volume. By this point, he was involved in another plot of the True Creator, Ince Zangwill, the Primordial Demoness, and the royal family. He barely managed to escape with the help of the Angel of Concealment, and this enabled him to successfully flee to the sea and changed his identity once again.
Volume 3: Traveler
After escaping Backlund, Klein traveled to Sonia Sea to seek mermaids for his Marionettist advancement ritual. Also, in order to digest the Faceless potion, he was traveling with his new identity: Gehrman Sparrow, a crazy adventurer, a pirate bounty hunter. He first stopped at Bansy Harbor, where he encountered a local cult that made the human sacrifice to God of Weather. He managed to kill the person behind the crime and continued his journey. Soon after, Klein arrived at Bayam. In his short presence in the city, he killed the Sea God Kalvetua and took over his believers and reshaped his doctrines. Afterwards, Klein went on a bodyguard mission to protect the Die of Probability and safely returned it to Life School of Thought. Later, he was tasked by Amyrius Rieveldt to pretend to be him for five days. During this task, Klein was targeted by the Mother Tree of Desire.He hired Cattleya and her crew to travel to the Sea of Ruins where he eventually found mermaids and promoted to a Marionettist. He then returned to hunt Admiral of Blood Senor. Due to the early attention from the Mother Tree of Desire, Klein triggered a battle between Demigods in Bayam. In the end, he killed Senor and returned to Backlund with another new identity.
Volume 4: Undying
Klein appeared in Backlund with a new Identity, Dwayne Dantès. He acquired this identity in the hope to enter the upper hierarchy of Backlund nobles and, ultimately, stole the Antigonus Family's Notebook from Church of the Evernight Goddess for the Bizarro Sorcerer formula of the Fool Pathway. However, he got banished to the Foggy Town by 0-17 before his plan could work. During his time in the town, he encountered the historical projection summoned by Zaratul, who he thought was long dead. Zaratul tricked Klein to open the gate and hoped to kill him. Luckily, Klein learned the formula from Zaratul without falling to the trap. Eventually, he escaped from the Foggy Town. Later he set on a trip to the Southern Continent to avoid Amon. Klein joined Azik Eggers to explore the undersea ruins beneath the Berserk Sea, where he learned the truth behind Mr. Eggers' immortality. Meanwhile, Klein confirmed that he was watched by the Evernight Goddess. After he spotted a trace of Ince Zangwill, Klein contacted Leonard Mitchell. Together they sought revenge for what Zangwill did back in Tingen City. At last, with the sacrifice of Daly Simone, Klein successfully put a bullet in Ince Zangwill's head and promoted to Bizarro Sorcerer.
Volume 5: Red Priest
The Sequence 4 promotion granted Klein more control over the Gray Fog, and he discovered a shocking secret behind his transmigration. He then returned to Backlund, continuing as Dwayne Dantès. Being a demigod allowed him to start investigating the truth behind the Great Smog of Backlund. However, he had to first deal with Amon's avatars that had propagated in Backlund. With the help of Arianna, Pallez Zoroast and Will Auceptin, Klein managed to clear all of Amon's avatars in Backlund. The Evernight Goddess soon after tasked Klein with missions. With assistance from Arianna, Klein was able to kill Qonas Kilgor and Hvin Rambis. Through them, Klein learned about King George III and Adam's plans. He fully digested the Sequence 4 potion due to Fors Wall's and several other authors' new novels based on the mystery he left during the wartime. Then he promoted to Scholar of Yore in the Berserk Sea. Later he found out that the Palace above the Gray Fog is actually the Sefirah Castle, one of the nine Sefirot left by The Original Creator. Klein allied with Bernadette Gustav and Trissy to stop King George III's advancement ritual. With Evernight Goddess, Lord of Storms and Primordial Demoness, as well as plenty Angels on Klein's side, King George III eventually failed to promote to Black Emperor. Klein escaped the battlefield and returned to Backlund, but little did he knew, Amon had already been waiting for him in his hideout.
Volume 6: Lightseeker
After he succeeded in stopping King George III's advancement, Klein was kidnapped by Amon's avatar. Together they entered Forsaken Land of the Gods, wherein Amon asked Klein to try to escape from him while he fed Klein with ancient secrets and hidden histories. He hoped to help Klein digested the Scholar of Yore potion and established a better connection with Sefirah Castle. Amon then took Klein to the place where Ancient Sun God first came out, named Chernobyl. It was at that time that Klein realized he was still on Earth, albeit a future one, and fully digested the potion. His connection with Sefirah Castle was then temporarily shaken. Amon saw the window of opportunity and tried to steal Sefirah Castle, but failed because of the Evernight Goddess' interference. Klein managed to suicide and resurrected at the City of Silver to escape from Amon. Klein's connection to the Sefirah Castle was enhanced after the digestion and was able to divine the Miracle Invoker potion formula from The Half-Fool on the Sefirah Castle. Meanwhile, he suspected that Evernight Goddess might be the first Transmigrator. In order to find the ingredients and also as preparation for the Miracle Invoker advancement ritual, Klein started his journey in Forsaken Land of the Gods to gather information and hunted down the God of Wishes, Kotar. Klein was told about the "Above the Sequence" by Amon's clone that was ambushing him when his historical projection entered Chernobyl. Later he asked Audrey Hall to hide the memory, because the more he knew, the more likely he is to be corrupted by the Outer Deities. During the trip, Klein discovered Moon City and acquired their faith. He discovered the fog wall at the border of the West Continent. Later he successfully defeated Kotar and obtained the characteristics of Miracle Invoker, as well as Attendant of Mysteries. He joined the City of Silver's expedition and defeated the Dark Angel's evil spirit. It was about the same time that the World War ended with the God of Combat being killed by Evernight Goddess and Earth Mother. In the end, Klein led the City of Sliver to leave the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
Volume 7: The Hanged Man
Klein successfully advanced to Miracle Invoker after he let the forgotten history of the City of Silver to return to the current history. He learned the truth about Outer Deities from the Seven Lights and decided to assume the identity of Merlin Hermes, a wandering magician whose best trick was to fulfill the wishes of others.Later, he obtained the Fool Card after he helped Arianna with sealing 0-02. At some point, Bernadette asked for his assistance as Mr. Fool to help her explore Emperor Roselle's last mausoleum. Both discovered that Emperor Roselle has been polluted by an Outer God from the Cosmos. Bernadette, with the help of Klein, had to seal him away on a sorrowful note. Before falling into sleep, Roselle warned Klein to be wary of one of the Cards of Blasphemy. He continued to fulfill the wishes of others, in a bid to fully digested his Miracle Invoker potion. In the fall of 1352, he designed and built a Marionette Town named Utopia with 5000 marionettes as a condition for his advancement ritual to Attendant of Mysteries. Also around the same time, he allowed his believers to set up the Church of the Fool in Bayam. Utopia later was attacked by the joint efforts of Zaratul, Amon, and Adam, and Klein fell into the trap of the latter. Around the same time, Amon and Medici helped a member of the Abraham Family set Mr. Door free. Klein managed to escape from Adam's Divine Kingdom with the help of the Magic Wishing Lamp and Roselle Gustav. He also managed to turn the situation around, pressuring Zaratul to escape and triggering a battle between Adam and Lord of Storms. He advanced to Attendant of Mysteries after he asked the Magic Wishing Lamp to finish the ritual for him and later managed to locate Zaratul's position. With another help from Roselle, he successfully stunned Zaratul for a while and killed him with Law of Beyonder Convergence. He swallowed Zaratul's Beyonder Characteristic and became a King of Angels.
Volume 8: Fool
Having defeated Zaratul and ingested his Attendant of Mysteries, Klein managed to stabilize himself from The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth's influence after he advanced with the help of the remnant will of Zaratul inside his Beyonder Characteristics. He met the Evernight Goddess in a dream, and learnt some truths about the past and how to accommodate the Uniqueness and to accomplish the apotheosis ritual. In order to consolidate "His" mental state, Klein wandered around in various places where he could resonate with his humanity. Klein visited Audrey Hall to take care of his mental health and he destroyed the Garden of Eden as an act of revenge after Adam made a move against him. Afterwards, Klein entered the Calderón City to obtain the water from the River of Eternal Darkness and handed it over to the Evernight Goddess. He learned more about the fall of The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth. Under the guidance of his spiritual intuition, he gave 5 gold coins which were corrupted by the Sefirah Castle's aura to Azik Eggers's Messenger, Reinette Tinekerr, Maric, Will Auceptin, and Pallez Zoroast to make arrangements for the possible future. After making a lot of preparations, he went to the peak of the Hornacis Mountain Range. Klein began to accommodate the Uniqueness of the Fool Pathway. Eventually, Klein successfully promoted to Sequence 0: Fool. He returned to the Sefirah Castle. While he inspected his authority and power, he found that Amon had invaded the Sefirah Castle and had a fight with him. At the time of danger, Klein released the suppression of The Celestial Worthy's will inside him. He fell into a half-crazy state and took the initiative to start a crazy gamble. Klein finished Amon in the Sefirah Castle with a supernova. The forced convergence further increased the awakening of The Celestial Worthy's will, pushing Klein even closer towards losing control. Nevertheless, he managed to make his way to the Evernight Goddess' divine kingdom. There, the Evernight Goddess gave Klein a drop of water from the River of Eternal Darkness, temporarily suppressing the will of The Celestial Worthy. Klein went to the Forsaken Land of the Gods to retrieve the lost Magic Mirror Arrodes, returned the Magic Wishing Lamp to Bernadette Gustav and gifted her an iron cigarette case which was corrupted by Sefirah Castle's aura. Finally he met Will Auceptin to help him accommodate the Uniqueness. However, Will refused and said the next opportunity would be better.Before Klein entered a state of slumber, he held a last-minute meeting and entrusted a long-term commission to all members of the Tarot Club. The main commissions are to spread the name of The Fool widely, spread the news of The World being the Blessed of The Fool, and record it in the Church's Holy Bible. After the meeting, Klein released all the humans in cocoons inside Sefirah Castle into the real world. Then he went into deep sleep together with Arrodes. After around 7 years of being in a sealed state, he met his niece while Melissa was holding a ritual.
