Menachem Mendel Schneerson's History

Menachem Mendel Schneerson (April 5, 1902 – June 12, 1994), often referred to as The Lubavitcher Rebbe or simply as The Rebbe, was an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi born in the Russian Empire (Modern-day Ukraine), and the most recent rebbe of the Lubavitch Hasidic dynasty. In 1941, he migrated from Europe to the United States to escape World War II, and he would live the rest of his days in New York City. He is considered one of the most influential Jewish leaders of the 20th century.

Within Unsong, The Lubavitcher Rebbe's remarkable wisdom, piety and faith led him to attain true Divine Enlightnment following the shattering of Uriel's Celestial Machinery in 1968, uncovering Hidden Transcendent Names of God through mystical dreams and by way of his own studies. In 1978, New York City Mayor Ed Koch enlisted The Rebbe's help to combat the encroaching armies of Thamiel's Demons, which hitherto marched undefeated through the United States territory. As if by a Miracle, The Rebbe was able to turn the tide, transforming the Statue of Liberty into a colossal Golem which smote the armies of hell.
