Rhonas (God-Eternal)

Rhonas's History

The cobra-headed Rhonas was the Amonkhet god of strength, both in physical superiority and mental aspects of willpower. After his physical death at the hands of the Scorpion God, Rhonas's body was converted into a God-Eternal.

During the War of the Spark on Ravnica, he reappeared as a God-Eternal in Bolas's army at first to destroy the arisen Vitu-Ghazi. After the walking city's destruction and the rout of the Boros legion, Rhonas continued to push forward with a portion of the Dreadhorde, driving everything in his path before him. Eventually the combined Ravnican coalition reinforced by Planeswalkers engaged Rhona's force in a pitched battle. Despite their bravery and assembled might, Rhonas still looked to be too much for them before Giadeon was able to get in close enough with the Blackblade and stab Rhonas with it. Rhonas's magical essence was then sucked into the blade, leaving behind nothing but a Lazotep skeleton, ending the god's torment at last.
