Sage Of Red Faith's History

The Sage of Red Faith, or the Blood Sage, is the founder and leader of Redmoon Hall, one of the four Dreadgod Cults. His disciples follow in the wake of the Dreadgod dubbed the Bleeding Phoenix, feeding off the misery and carnage it causes. Red Faith is best known for cloning his Blood Shadow. Before founding the Redmoon Hall cult, he was a scientist who researched Dreadbeasts and spirits, later shifting his focus to Blood Shadow cultivation.

Red Faith had been carefully cultivating his by feeding it blood as well as his own life madra, preparing to fuse with it to advance to Monarch. This is said to be the most powerful and most dangerous use of the Blood Shadow, as it is not fully under one's control, but cooperating because of the provided food. As such, the blood shadow escaped when it had gotten strong enough, becoming a Herald in its own right, making their fusion impossible.

Years later, Red Faith took an interest in Yerin, who had adopted his method of Blood Shadow cultivation. He competed with the Winter Sage to tutor her individually, but Northstrider took the Winter Sage's side. Nonetheless, Red Faith approached her, warning her against trusting in her Blood Shadow, lest it betray her like his did.

Red Faith later led a team under the orders of Reigan Shen to assassinate the Akura clan's young Lords. However, the plan was foiled by Eithan Arelius' advancement to Archlord and his student, Lindon, advancing to Sage.

Much to Red Faith's delight, Yerin successfully fused with her Blood Shadow, becoming the first Overlady Herald in known history. He represented Reigan Shen when the time came for her to make a wish, and assisted the Monarchs in restoring her spirit's stability. Later on, with the reluctant agreement of Lindon, he got the opportunity to work with Yerin to find where each of them came up lacking. He made two main discoveries during this period. The first, Yerin had been significantly neglecting the blood madra side of her Path. The second, the reason he had failed to fuse with his Blood Shadow was because it had inherited too much of his personality, meaning it wasn't a problem in the process, but the person. Defeated, Red Faith approached his Blood Shadow, and, alongside Yerin, defeated him, taking control of Redmoon Hall. However, he was killed when the Silent King took over Redmoon's Remnant.

The Remnant of Red Faith was later taken into Ghostwind Hall to further instruct Yerin in her Path.
