Sami Zayn's History

A Canadian-born Superstar of Syrian descent, Sami Zayn brought with him an experience level matched by few when he arrived in WWE. After all, how many Superstars can say they have competed in a staggering 29 countries?

Zayn's in-ring presence incorporates an eclectic blend of styles, from his explosive aerial moves to his hard-hitting strikes. Simply put, Zayn can take down any Superstar on the roster — an ability he has displayed in show-stealing matches against the likes of Kevin Owens, John Cena, Seth Rollins and so many more, and led to his reigns as NXT and Intercontinental Champion.

2022 marked a huge year for Zayn as he fought Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania and aligned himself with The Bloodline, becoming an "Honorary Uce," much to the chagrin of fellow Bloodline member Jey Uso. After months of trying to become a fully fledged Bloodline member, Zayn was shockingly kicked out of the group after refusing to strike Owens, his former best friend, with a steel chair. Zayn then faced Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 in his hometown of Montreal but would heartbreakingly come up short.At WrestleMania 39, Zayn reunited with Owens and closed the book of the epic reign of The Usos by heroically capturing the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles in "The Greatest Tag Team Title Match in History” on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

During the 2023 WWE Draft, Zayn and Owens were both drafted to Raw.
