Silent King's History

The Silent King, like the other Dreadgods, was the result of research and experimentation conducted in the Labyrinth beneath Sacred Valley, some millennia ago. The researchers attempted to address the problem of hunger aura. It was originally an unremarkable Dreadbeast when it was infused with hunger aura, but it unexpectedly and quickly grew far beyond expectations. It eventually escaped confinement and entered the outside world, and is now driven by the urge to feed and to come back to the Labyrinth, the place of its birth.

While the weakest of the Dreadgods from a physical aspect, the Silent King was by far the most intelligent and manipulative, capable of enslaving sacred artists from across a continent. It spent much of its time imprisoned on the Everwood Continent by Emriss Silentborn, but was freed upon the Slumbering Wraith's death. It attacked Dreadnought City, where the Silent King directly called out Lindon and threatened his loved ones for taking the Slumbering Wraith's arm.

A bit later, the Silent King, along with its cult of followers, the Silent Servants, attacked Moongrave, capital city of the Akura territories. Its telepathic influence spread across the Ashwind Continent, taking control of many, including members of Redmoon Hall, several Black Dragon Remnants, and the inhabitants of Serpent's Grave, including Jai Long, who was killed soon after freeing himself. It took Emriss Silentborn, Akura Malice, and Northstrider, along with several Sages and Heralds, to subdue him. However, Lindon, in allegiance with Emriss, killed the Silent King, causing its power to be distributed to the other Dreadgods, including himself.

The Silent King's core binding was used to make Mercy a new bow, which Lindon used to fire Penance arrowheads.
