Silver Hydra's powers and abilities

Petrification - Silver Hydras have a pair of ducts underneath their eyes that they can fire jets of a liquid silver compound. On contact with air and organic tissue, the compound will begin to spread and encase the target, eventually turning them into a living silver statue. The silver coating is also durable enough to restrain beings as strong as the 60,000 ton Godzilla.

Silver Body - Silver Hydras are largely immune to physical harm due to their unique silver bodies. Any damage to a Hydra will simply cause a new Hydra to grow from the detached part with no true limit to the number of times this can happen. Natural silver deposits can also be absorbed into their bodies to increase their size in addition to smaller Hydras combing into a singular larger Hydra.

Heat Resistance - Due to living in a cave system near volcanic activity, Silver Hydras have developed a virtual immunity to heat and heat based attacks. Those that are able to overwhelm this defense simply liquify the Hydra, which it can quickly reform from.

Silver Hydra's weaknesses

Low Temperatures - The cold causes the Silver Hydra's molecular bonds to weaken, causing them and their secretions to begin to break down rapidly and crumble. A large Silver Hydra can survive for a longer duration, but not for more than a few minutes. It is ambiguous if the fragments can regenerate once the temperature rises again.
