Spectre's History

Spectre is the spirt of vengeance and enforces God's will. He is an entity who watches over someone who is near their death and then uses them as a vessel to carry out the will of the universe.

Spectre had attempted to save John Constantine after he persuaded Barry Allen to create a second Flashpoint and create a new universe. He had also used his powers to protect and guide Barry through the Speed Force and protecting himself and the new universe from Darkseid finding the. This unset the balance of the universe which wanted to punish Constantine for his actions. However, Spectre decided that due to the good that Constantine had done in the past and for services rendered he would trap him in The House of Mystery for eternity to live a long happy existence with all the ones he loved so much. But Constantine's self loathing turned what should have been a beautiful eternity with his loved ones into a living nightmare. After Constantine escaped the house and confronted the Spectre he explained to him what he had tried to save him from and was unable to help any further as a bright white light pulled Constantine into it as he screamed in horror.
