Spider-Man's History

Peter Parker has operated as Spider-Man for many years, protecting New York against villains and petty thieves alike, with Silk working by his side on several occasions. However, his superhero work began to strain his relationship with Mary Jane Watson. Eventually, he decided to give up being Spider-Man and threw away his costume, which would later be found by high school student Yu Onomae, who began to masquerade as the wall-crawler.

At some point, Peter was abducted by Mysterio and exposed to a black symbiote, turning him into Venom and sending him into a rampage. He was brought back to his senses when he encountered Yu, who gave him his mask and reminded him of who he was. Peter gained control over the symbiote, which transformed into a black version of his normal suit. After defeating Mysterio, Peter swung away with Yu to prevent the boy from being seen by reporters who might mistake him for the true Spider-Man. Peter privately thanked Yu, who gave the Spider-Man suit back to him and returned to his normal school life. Some time later, Peter returned to his career as Spider-Man. He commenting to Silk how Yu had become much more confident in himself since their meeting.
