The Sandman's powers and abilities

Dream Sands - Larry has innate control over the dream sands of Dreamworld, some of which resides within his Dream Stone. These sands allow him to create massive sand tornadoes, the ability to turn objects he touches into sand and to transform himself into a nigh-untouchable sandstorm (which he used to defeat Dreamlord).

Magical Senses - Larry's senses have become extremely heightened and allows him to see and interact with normally invisible and intangible entities.

Energy Projection - Larry can emit a green energy from his gauntlet that has a variety of uses from basic energy blasts to banishment to disintegration beams. He has also used this energy to create a stasis field that blocked Crisis's attacks for a time.

Spirit Control - Larry can seize control and interact with the souls of those trapped in Dreamworld. Although he has only used this ability to usher them back to their physical forms, he had complete domination over them.

Dimensional Travel - Larry can travel freely between Dreamworld by reciting a magic rhyme, although he could initially only travel to Dreamworld by sleeping. He can also create portals to and from Dreamworld to ferry denizens from either dimension.

The Sandman's weaknesses

Physical Body - While Larry is in Dreamworld, he leaves behind his mortal shell in a sleep-like state. If his body were to be killed then, he would seemingly be unable to interact with the physical world again. It appears this weakness was lost after the defeat of Dreamlord, but this is never concretely stated.

Reduced Power - Although Larry still has some of his powers while in the physical world, his power appears to be massively decreased on Earth. This weakness too seems to have been eliminated with the fall of Dreamlord.

Dream Stone - If Larry were to lose the Dream Stone from his gauntlet, his power would be massively reduced.
