Zeus

Blood Of Zeus

Zeus's History

Youngest son of the Titan King Kronos, Zeus was hidden away as an infant by his mother Rhea and grandmother Gaia to prevent his father from consuming him, as he had his elder siblings. Zeus trained from a young age, under the watch and guidance of Gaia, to eventually overthrow his father and end the reign of the Titans.

When the time was right, Zeus liberated his siblings from their lifelong imprisonment in the belly of his father, and led them in a great war between the Gods and the Titans. Proving himself a highly capable warrior and battlefield leader, Zeus earned the trust of several of his siblings, namely his future wife Hera.

Following the defeat of the Titans, and the Giants as well as Typhon thereafter, the Gods decided to divy up rulership of the realms between the three sons of Kronos. Hera, perceiving Zeus as best fit to rule the Gods and with Poseidon's endorsement, ensured that Zeus received the Eleusinian Stone and thus command of the Heavens. Crowned King of Olympus, Zeus ruled the Gods for quite some time.

As his rule dragged on, however, Zeus became increasingly taken with the affairs of mortals, developing intimate relationships with several while in disguise. Neglecting his marital obligations, and to Hera's great chagrin, he fathered much of the new pantheon as well as many demigods with various other partners.

Confident and secure in his rule, and his overwhelming personal power, Zeus has grown partly complacent to the Godly threats surrounding him in the distinct forms of his disillusioned wife and increasingly resentful eldest brother. While the Thunderer remains feared and respected for his power and skill in battle, his rulership and family life have become subjects of immense controversy.
